Haïti Uncovered Culinary Tour highlight the best of Haïti’s gastronomy while exploring her rich landscape and history.  Created for those who had or haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing Nadege Fleurimond’s numerous events, and her Haïti Uncovered cookbook.  Nadege will add to your regional adventure into the art of Haitian Cuisine which is the source of all her inspirations.  During the day we will explore landmark structures and immerse ourselves in this country’s remarkable history.  At night we will participate in rich gastronomy events that will delight and tempt our taste buds.  Dinner will be an experience in fine dining that will leave you wanting more.  Belle Vue Tours partnering with Nadege Fleurimond offer you the best of both worlds in adventure, history, fun, and fine cuisine.

Partnering with Haïti Uncovered to bring you the art of Haitian Cuisine.  Enjoy a late afternoon of demonstration and creating one of the local dishes famous in the capital of Port-au-Prince to the backdrop of one of our most famous gingerbread houses.  The night will end dancing to a popular “Rasin” band. [B/L/D]


Port-au-Prince, capital of the Republic of Haïti was founded in 1749 today bustling with its gingerbread houses, city life, museums, art, culture, there is much to see and visit.  It embodies the spirits and legacies of the founding fathers of this nation from their victories and tragedies.  Port-au-Prince is slowly getting its footing after the devastating earthquake of 2010. [B/L/D]

Jacmel, originally known as Yaquimel during Taino rule under Cacique Bohechio, is one of Haïti’s 1st colonial cities since 1698. After the great fire of 1896, the wealthy imported pre-fabricated structures from Europe. Different types of houses made of brick and wood still left today with one commonality that identify Jacmel, their great galleries. It is also well known for the famous Bassin Bleu and its annual carnival that draw thousands within and outside Haïti. Historically, it served as a temporary refuge for international revolutionary leaders, inspired by Haïti’s independence such as Francisco Miranda of Venezuela in 1806 and Simón Bolivar in 1816. [B/L/D]

While there are numerous Saut d’Eau, waterfall in French, in Haïti there is one simply name as such.  Saut d’Eau welcome thousands of worshippers a year on religious pilgrimages to bathe, pray and ask favors from the Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel. We will also venture to the coastal area of the Arcadins, in the Artibonite region, popular for its beautiful beaches, numerous resorts, and activities such as fishing and sailing. [B/L/D]


High in a commune of Port-au-Prince, we will share a special night made unique by the surrounding mountains and view while experiencing the ambience of Haitian cuisine. [B/L/D]


Our journey comes to an end.  Transfer to the Toussaint Louverture International Airport to catch your flight back home.  We hope the wonders of Haïti will forever stay with you, and though we are sad to see you go…hope to see you again.  [B]
